And the tool best suited to great searches is LinkedIn Sales Navigator.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Sales Nav, you have both:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Access to millions of leads<\/li><li>The ability to target and narrow down your lead lists to just a few hundred promising prospects.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>How?&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/wiza.co\/blog\/advanced-search-on-linkedin-sales-navigator\/\">LinkedIn Sales Navigator\u2019s advanced search<\/a>. With the advanced filter function, you can narrow your searches down by:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Seniority level<\/li><li>Geography<\/li><li>Company size<\/li><li>Industry<\/li><li>Titles&nbsp;<\/li><li>Keywords<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And a lot more.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the example video above, I started by searching for sales leaders (with a seniority level of director\/manager or above). That search resulted in 17 <em>million<\/em> leads.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not exactly a practical way to start prospecting.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But then I spent just a couple of minutes tweaking my search. I filtered down by:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Geography:<\/strong> searching in the US (excluding New York) narrowed it down a bit.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Industry: <\/strong>Looking in the automotive industry resulted in 200k leads.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Head Count:<\/strong> By narrowing the search to 11-50 people, I brought it down to 34k.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Titles:<\/strong> I specified a job title (\u201csales manager\u201d), which brought my list down to ~1600.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Remember, the title filter is keyword-based, so searching like this would include a \u201cMarketing &amp; Sales Manager\u201d title, for example.&nbsp;<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you have 1600 high quality leads that you know fall within your target audience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Step 2: Save Your Work&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to save your searches as you go!&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re limited to 15 saved searches at a time. But the feature can be a great way to:&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Go back and find information on the prospects you\u2019ve searched for.<\/li><li>Perform the same search but for a different industry or different company size.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Alerts. LinkedIn will notify you on a weekly basis when new people are added to the search criteria. You can use this \u2018trigger\u2019 event as an outreach opportunity!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re not limited to saved searches, either. You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/help\/sales-navigator\/answer\/97683\/how-do-i-view-and-manage-custom-lists-?lang=en\">build out custom lead lists<\/a> directly in LinkedIn to keep all of your leads organized until you\u2019re able to export them or add them to your CRM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Step 3: Export Your Leads&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Lead generation with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is extremely effective.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But since LinkedIn limits you to just 20 InMail messages, actually reaching those leads can be more difficult.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do that (at least with the 1600+ leads we generated in five minutes), you\u2019ll need to <a href=\"https:\/\/wiza.co\/blog\/can-you-export-leads-from-linkedin-sales-navigator\/\">extract your leads from Sales Navigator<\/a>.
